Since 2012, we have helped the power generation industry effectively manage their critical plant equipment, providing unbiased, focused, and experienced guidance to major utilities and others in the power generator industry, worldwide.

Our approach

We identify damage mechanisms that can degrade the serviceability of boilers, high energy piping, and pressure vessels. We use methodical methods to determine the root cause of events, and we then compose mitigation strategies, including methods of examination, evaluation, and process changes to effectively manage damage progression and optimize component life.

What We provide

  • Customized risk-based high-energy piping programs that meet the requirements of ASME B31.1.

  • Comprehensive component assessment programs and lifing analyses for thick-wall boiler components, boiler tubing, balance of plant equipment, and high-energy piping.

  • Failure analysis services including metallurgical evaluations and root cause analyses.

  • Acceptable flaw size calculations to support contractual nondestructive examinations (i.e. beyond those required by ASME Section I or ASME Section VIII).

  • Consulting support for the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.

  • Critical flaw size calculations for existing flaws.

  • Expert services to support disputes including litigation and arbitration.
