John L. Arnold

John Arnold is the Principal and founder of Niantic Bay Engineering, LLC. He specializes in the assessment and management of critical power plant components including high-energy piping, boiler tubing, headers, and drums, and pressure vessels. This assistance includes the development of comprehensive assessment programs at the plant or fleet level, unit specific assessment scope development and prioritization, and the execution of specific assessment projects. He has also been involved with numerous root cause assessment activities to identify and mitigate complex component serviceability issues. Mr. Arnold has also provided expert services in support of litigation and arbitration projects, including testimony.

Prior to founding Niantic Bay Engineering, LLC, he was an Associate with Structural Integrity Associates, heading up their boiler assessment activities and performing research and development projects to enhance the nondestructive examination of aging boiler components and high-energy piping. Before that, Mr. Arnold has held several engineering and management positions with Thielsch Engineering Associates and ALSTOM Power.
